Ceremony Held in Iran to Honor Top Bahraini Cleric

Bahrain’s prominent Shiite cleric Ayatollah Sheikh Isa Ahmad Qassim was awarded the special prize of Iran’s Al-Mustafa International University.

During a ceremony in Tehran on Wednesday, Sheikh Abdullah al-Daqqaq, the representative of Sheikh Qassim in Iran, received the award on his behalf.

The gathering was held with the aim of honoring Sheikh Qassim for his great role in various scientific and intellectual fields in Bahrain and other parts of the world.

The participants at the ceremony hailed Sheikh Qassim as the paradigm of “jurisprudence and resistance”.

During the ceremony, attended by a number of foreign guests, 45 works by Ayatollah Sheikh Qassim were also unveiled and praised.
