The Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities opened the tomb of Shed Sou Djehuty, a nobleman likely to have served under King Thutmose I, who reigned between roughly 1506–1493 BC.
The rock-cut, or ‘saff’ tomb, was discovered after eight months of excavation. It covers an area of 550 square meters and contains 18 entrances.
