8 killed in terrorist rocket attacks in Syria’s Aleppo, Dara’a

At least eight people have been killed in rocket attacks by Takfiri militants in the Syrian cities of Aleppo and Dara’a.
According to Syrian police officials, two rockets fired by the Takfiri militants hit the Public Park in the central part of the northwestern city of Aleppo on Thursday, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.
The officials said that as many as 34 other people, including women and children, sustained injuries in the attack.
At least one more citizen was killed and six others suffered injuries in terrorist rocket attacks on the southwestern Syrian city of Dara’a. The rockets landed in the Heiteen and al-Sikeh neighborhoods of the city.
Cities and towns across Syria have frequently come under bomb attacks as well as mortar and rocket fire by militants since crisis erupted in the country more than four years ago.
On April 26, terrorists launched rocket attacks at al-Neil Street in the city of Aleppo, leaving three civilians dead. The city was later struck by another rocket attack, in which two people were killed and 50 others injured in the two neighborhoods of al-Tilal and al-Qassr al-Baladi.
Syria has been grappling with a deadly crisis since March 2011. The violence fueled by Takfiri groups has so far claimed the lives of over 222,000 people, according to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
More than 67,000 of the dead were civilians, including over 11,000 children. The toll, however, does not include some 20,000 people listed as missing.
Over 3.8 million Syrians have left their country since the beginning of the crisis. More than 7.2 million Syrians have also become internally displaced, according to the United Nations.
