Zionist regime fueling crisis in Syria

Senior Iranian lawmaker Hossein Naqavi-Hosseini says Zionist regime has been trying to fuel crisis in Syria in order to exact revenge on the Islamic resistance front.

According to Press TV, Naqavi-Hosseini said on Saturday “From the beginning of crisis in Syria, the Zionist regime has been trying to weaken this pole of anti-Israel resistance in the region.”
Commenting on the recent Zionist regime’s attack on Syria, the Iranian lawmaker said, “If news of the Zionist regime’s assault against Syria proves to be true it would be a blatant violation of a country’s sovereignty.”
On January 30, the Syrian army said in a statement that two people were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a research center in Jamraya, near the capital, Damascus. Israel declined to comment on the issue.
Referring to Moscow’s stance regarding possible military intervention in Syria, Naqavi-Hosseini said, “The reason for Russia’s warning against any military intervention in Syria is that military interference in this crisis will lead to regional war.”
