
Clashes erupted on Wednesday morning in different parts of the occupied city of al-Khalil between dozens of Palestinian youths and Israeli soldiers.
Eyewitnesses told PIC reporter that the clashes broke out at the junction of the Najohout settlement established on the lands of Dura, south of al-Khalil, where the Israeli soldiers fired heavily tear gas toward a group of Palestinian young men who responded by throwing stones and empty bottles.
The sources added that clashes have also erupted at al-Fawwar Camp east of the town of Dura, between a number of school students and Israeli soldiers, resulted in some cases of suffocation.
Other clashes broke out at the entrances of the towns of Dahriya and Halhoul, while Palestinian youths threw stones at settlers’ vehicles near Kiryat Arba settlement established on the lands east of al-Khalil and the Gush Etzion settlement built on the territory north of the city.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) arrested on Wednesday three citizens from the city of al-Khalil in the occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, the Israeli soldiers raided several neighborhoods in the city of al-Khalil, including the Ein Sara Street, Jawhara Mount, and Salam street, before they arrested two young men Ammar al-Ghaith and Montassir Rgyby where they were taken to an unknown destination.
The sources confirmed to the PIC reporter that the IOF deployed extensively on the entrances to the city and hampered the movement of pedestrians.
Furthermore, Israeli forces arrested a coordinator of “Youth Against Settlement” assembly in the occupied city of al-Khalil on charges of incitement against occupation.
The assembly said in a statement that the Israeli police summoned Issa Amro, the coordinator of Youth Against Settlement assembly, on charges of incitement against the occupation, and organizing activities against the occupation in the city of al-Khalil.
Zionist Israeli forces also raided several towns in al-Khalil, including Tarqumiya, Seir and Halhoul, north and west of the city, and has stepped up its presence in the outskirts of the city.
