Clashes Between Palestinian Youths and ‘israeli’ Occupation Forces in West Bank Lead to Demolition of Bethlehem School
This morning, the Jibb Al-Deeb School, funded by donors, was demolished by the Israeli occupation authorities.

This morning, the Israeli occupation authorities demolished the Jibb Al-Deeb School in the village of Bayt Ta’mar, east of Bethlehem in the southern West Bank. This was the second time the school had been demolished, as it had been rebuilt with donor funds after its prior demolition by the occupation authorities in 2017.
WAFA reported that Bassam Jabr, the Director of Education in Bethlehem, stated that an Israeli occupation army force accompanied by bulldozers had blocked off the area around the Challenge 5 School before confiscating the school’s possessions and demolishing it.
He noted that the school, which housed approximately 60 students spanning grades 1-4, was demolished in 2017 before being rebuilt later that same year.
Clashes broke out between the Israeli military and local inhabitants after the school was demolished, with Israeli troops shooting teargas at the people, leading to many of them being overcome by the fumes.
