Closure of US-Backed Aid Sites Follows Zionist ‘israeli’ Attack on Gazan Civilians
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, supported by the United States, has announced a temporary shutdown of its aid distribution centers in the Gaza Strip. This decision comes in the wake of recent acts of violence by Israeli forces that resulted in the tragic deaths of numerous Palestinians facing starvation.

The Global Health Foundation announced on Wednesday that its distribution centers will undergo renovation, reorganization, and efficiency improvement work, resulting in temporary closures.
Operations at the aid distribution sites are set to recommence on Thursday, according to the announcement.
The closure was implemented following a warning from the Israeli military advising against travel on routes leading to distribution centers, which have been identified as combat zones.
This incident followed the tragic deaths of 27 individuals on Tuesday, as a result of Israeli forces opening fire near a GHF aid location in southern Gaza.
On Wednesday, the Gaza Ministry of Health reported that Israel’s aerial assaults resulted in the deaths of at least 32 individuals in Gaza. Among the casualties, a single strike on a tent sheltering displaced persons claimed the lives of 12.
According to reports, at least 95 Palestinians have lost their lives and 440 others have been injured in Gaza over the past 24 hours.
The ministry further reported the recovery of two bodies belonging to individuals who had been killed in earlier Israeli assaults, found amidst the debris.
Medical sources have issued warnings that a significant number of victims remain trapped beneath debris or stranded in the streets. The efforts of relief and civil defense teams to provide treatment and transportation are being severely hindered by ongoing bombardment and the resulting destruction of infrastructure.
According to the ministry, the cumulative number of fatalities resulting from Israel’s conflict with the besieged territory has risen to 54,607 individuals since October 7, 2023.
Since the cessation of the ceasefire in March this year, Israeli forces have been responsible for the deaths of 4,335 Palestinians and have caused injuries to 13,300 individuals.
Operations at US-backed aid sites in the Gaza Strip commenced last Monday. However, by early the following morning, the situation escalated as Israeli forces opened fire on the gathering, resulting in numerous casualties among the Palestinians who had assembled in dire need of assistance.
The Global Humanitarian Foundation inaugurated a second location last Wednesday. However, Israeli forces once more fired upon individuals seeking assistance west of Rafah, a city in the southern part of Gaza, resulting in further Palestinian casualties.
The Gaza Media Office issued a statement on Sunday reporting that, in under a week, the Israeli regime had claimed the lives of dozens and injured hundreds at multiple GHF locations.
UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres has denounced the deaths of Palestinians attempting to access food assistance in Gaza as “unacceptable,” describing the fatalities in the besieged region as “unthinkable.”
The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Turk, has condemned the assaults targeting starving civilians, labeling them as a serious violation of international law and a war crime.
The Geneva-based Global Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) is an aid organization supported by the United States and Israel. It operates as an alternative to traditional aid distribution methods administered by United Nations-affiliated organizations in Gaza.
The Palestinian resistance group, Hamas, has criticized aid distribution locations operated by the GHF, labeling them as “death traps” for civilians facing starvation and accusing them of serving as a mechanism for displacement.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza has markedly worsened since March 18, following the resumption of hostilities by Israeli forces, breaching the ceasefire agreement with the resistance group Hamas.
According to the UN-supported Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), Gaza is experiencing phase 5 famine conditions, with approximately 71,000 children under the age of five facing the threat of acute malnutrition.
