Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi underlined Iran’s deterrence power, and said 100 IRGC vessels are always deployed in the Persian Gulf to confront any threats.

“100 IRGC vessels are present in the Persian Gulf round the clock everyday and the Americans see our vessels everywhere they look,” Fadavi said, addressing a gathering in the Central province of Isfahan on Saturday.

He said the US has come to the conclusion that any action against the Islamic Revolution will be rather harmful than serving its interests, “therefore, they don’t dare to take any action and this shows the Islamic Revolution’s deterrence power which is increasing everyday”.

In relevant remarks earlier this month, Fadavi said the United States doesn’t even think of attacking Iran for fear of a huge backlash to its interests.

“The losses of an attack on Iran will be greater than its gains for the US. That’s why it doesn’t even think about it. Instead, the US is targeting nations and revolutions that have adopted Iran as their role model,” Fadavi said, addressing a ceremony in the Central city of Kashan.

Referring to the failed US wars of the past decade, he said Washington seeks to weaken and sideline countries that follow the Iranian Revolution as their role model. However, this is doomed to fail too.”

Also last November, Iranian Navy Commander Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari said the enemies did not dare to attack Iran because they were aware of the Iranian Armed Forces’ preparedness.

“No enemy would dare to give a dirty look to Iran due to the extent of the Iranian Armed Forces’ readiness,” Admiral Sayyari said.

The Iranian Navy commander underlined the full preparedness of his forces to confront and defeat all types of enemies and under any type of condition.

Also in the same month, Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan underlined the Armed Forces’ capability to give a rapid and crushing response to any enemy threat.

“The Iranian Armed Forces are able to control and repel threats decisively and swiftly in accordance with their level and type,” Dehqan said, addressing a gathering Iran’s diplomatic corps abroad.

He also underscored the country’s huge progress in the past few years in building different weapons and military equipment to defend itself.

The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces in a statement in May underlined intelligence superiority over enemies’ moves in the region, and warned that any hostile act against the country will face a crushing response.

Using the invaluable experiences of the 8-year Iraqi-imposed war against Iran (1980-1988) and the commandership of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the Iranian Armed Forces “will give a proper and crushing response to any threat, given their intelligence superiority over the enemy front’s situation and moves”, the statement said on Saturday.

It also described developing capacity for the country’s growing defensive production and development of Iran’s deterrence power as the Armed Forces’ main goal.

The statement said under such conditions that the country is facing a sensitive situation, there is no doubt that the key weapon of unity and sympathy between the government and the nation would yield valuable and decisive results.
