Daesh attack kills high-profile police cmdr. in north-central Iraq

Daesh Takfiri terrorists have killed a distinguished security official in Iraq’s north-central province of Salahuddin as army troopers, backed by pro-government fighters from the Popular Mobilization Units, are trying to flush the last remnants of the extremist outfit out of the crisis-hit Arab country.

Iraqi Interior Minister Yassin al-Yasiri told the official Iraqi News Agency on Tuesday that Commander of the Fourth Division of the Federal Police, Major General Ali al-Lami, had been killed in an attack by a group of Daesh terrorists.
