Damascus: in responding to aggression, we will surprise all…US wants a war for al-Nusra

Syria’s foreign minister Waleed al-Mualem said that “Syria has a national interest in revealing the truth behind al-Gouta’s incident making clear that UN specified “4 sites for inspection upon the request of the opposition coalition.”
Al-Mualem, in a press conference today said the his American counterpart, John Kerry, called him last Thursday after “a divorce for 2 years and a half; our speech was friendly, I told him that we have a national interest in revealing the truth behind what took place in al-Gouta.”
And on the works of the UN investigation team, al-Mualem said that the team did not ask for heading to the Eastern Gouta; the opposition coalition specified 4 sites, which accordingly the UN asked the Syrian authorities to be allowed into.
Al-Mualem reiterated that the “Syrian authorities agreed to offer all possible facilitations and also to secure the UN team especially in the areas under the control of the Syrian Army, “we demanded the team to head to the sites that terrorists control, but as the team entered, they were shot at and could not continue their tour because the terrorist groups did not agree to secure the team.”
The Syrian Foreign Minister made sure that his country immediately said yes to all the demands of the UN. He pointed out that the Syrian forces can never remove the evidences of chemical weapons because the evidences exist in the areas that terrorist control. He ordered anyone who accuses the Syrian forces of using chemical weapons to present any evidence that proves it.
He continued, on the American aggression against Syria, that “Damascus will defend itself using all possible means” adding that the Syrian response will surprise all.
Al-Mualem said that what the Syrian Arab Army has initiated against the militants in Damascus countryside will continue at the same rhythm even if an aggression against Syria occurred.
Al-Mualedm commented on the words of Russia’s foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov – that says Moscow will enter no wars to defend any party – he said that Syria had political, economic, military, and historical ties with Russia and raised the question of “do you expect Russia to move the war into its own territories?”
Finally, al-Muallem said that US scenario of aggression against Syria is unpredictable because if such scenarios occurred, it will be in favor of al-Nusra Front.
