Daniel Ortega: “Iranian nation, Islamic Revolution a role model for int’l community”

The Nicaraguan President, Daniel Ortega, has felicitated the 34th auspicious anniversary of victory of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, while naming the Islamic Revolution as a political and cultural role model for the international community.

According to IRIB World Service, citing IRNA, Ortega, in a message to his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, on Monday night, said the Islamic Revolution promotes religious and ethical values and boosts the morale of many nations and combatants across the world, given its courageousness and originality.
The message of the Nicaraguan president partly reads that: We hail you from Nicaragua and from within a popular revolution, which emerged victorious like Iran’s Islamic Revolution in the year 1979, breaking down the economic, political, and cultural model which aimed for multilateral domination of our country.
Nicaragua is one of Islamic Republic of Iran’s allies in Latin America. As of the year 2007, Daniel Ortega has triumphed twice in the Nicaraguan elections. He has, on several occasions, emphasized on his country’s support for Iran’s peaceful and civilian nuclear energy program and Islamic Iran’s principled stands.
