Syria inks agreement to import tractor from Iran

Visiting Syrian officials signed an agreement with Iran on buying Tractors, Managing Director of Tabriz Tractor Manufacturing Company Abolfath Ebrahimi said Wednesday.

The official noted that the agreement between Iranian and Syrian officials is on the exports of Tractors worth 4.5 million US dollars.

“500 Tractors will be exported to the Syria within the next three month in the first phase,” he said.

Referring to the large Syrian market for the export of Tractors, Ebrahimi added that Syria is becoming one of the customers of the
Iranian-made tractors.

Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company is a tractor manufacturing company with headquarters in Tabriz.

Tabriz Tractor Manufacturing Company was established in Tabriz in the year 1968.

Today it has the largest production capacity among its competitors in the Middle East. In 1990s, the factory started producing small tractors and vans beside its main products, large size tractors.

Iran Tractor Manufacturing Company has qualified for ISO 9001, and has also received rewards regarding quality and exporting.
