Despite Closure of Holy Shrine, Sayyeda Zainab (P) Area in Damascus Marks Ashura Day

Despite the closure of the Holy Shrine of Sayyeda Zainab (P) in Damascus due to the pandemic considerations, the area marked Ashura Day in a way that is different and does not include congregations.

The locals and visitors wore facial masks and observed social distancing as part of the anti-coronavirus measures, performing some of the Ashura rituals and traditions, which included offering food and beverage.
