Angry protests break out in Bahrain after Saudi Arabia announces execution of top Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr. 

In a statement, the Lebanese Supreme Shia Council condemned the execution, calling it a “grave mistake.”

In Yemen, Houthis decried the “mock trial” which resulted in the prominent cleric’s execution.
