East Hama victory will free thousands of troops, hundreds of tanks

According to pro-government sources, the success of the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) operation to liberate eastern Hama Governorate from ISIS terrorists will release many thousands of army troops and hundreds of tanks for service elsewhere.

One particular pro-government source has stated that anywhere between 3,000 to 5,000 soldiers of the SAA and the National Defense Forces (NDF) as well as some two hundred tanks will be freed up for service on other fronts.

Virtually all of the aforementioned soldiers have been responsible for holding back ISIS attacks in eastern Hama (mainly aimed at Salamiyah city and at the highway the runs from Salamiyah to Ithriya town) for around three years now.

As of the present moment, ISIS forces in the countryside of eastern Hama are in a state of total rout with the SAA having encircled the jihadist group’s remaining fighters in the region.
