Enemies aware of Iran’s military preparedness: Lawmaker

A senior Iranian lawmaker says the enemies of the Islamic Republic have no plan to launch a military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities as they are aware of the country’s military preparedness.

“A military attack on Iran is not on the enemies’ agenda and they know that they will not achieve their objectives in Iran through a military option,” First Vice Speaker of Iran’s Majlis (parliament) Mohammad Reza Bahonar said on Friday.

He added that Iran has made great efforts and is in “appropriate conditions” in terms of military weapons.

“We will fully defend the country’s territory in case of any military attack,” the Iranian legislator added.

Bahonar emphasized that the arrogant powers are making utmost use of their capabilities to bring Iran to its knees and isolate the country but Tehran would safely cross this difficult and historically sensitive pathway.

The US, Israel and some of their allies accuse Iran of pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program, with the Tel Aviv regime repeatedly threatening Iran with a military strike.

Iran has refuted the allegations and has promised a crushing response to any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic.
