International campaign condemns administrative detention of Palestinian MPs

The international campaign for the release of the kidnapped MPs reported that the Israeli occupation extended the administrative detention of the MP for the Change and Reform Bloc Mohammed Jamal Natsheh for the third time.
The campaign pointed out in a press release on Wednesday that MP Natsheh, aged 55 from the city of al-Khalil, has served more than 17 years in the Israeli jails.
It stressed that the occupation policy of administrative detention against the Palestinian MPs represents a “humanitarian crime par excellence, and a violation of the foundations of democracy and the international law.”
The campaign also called on all international, political and parliamentary bodies to take immediate actions to put an end to the “arbitrary” policy of administrative detention, pointing out that 9 MPs from the Change and Reform Bloc are currently held in the Israeli prisons.
The international campaign held the occupation authorities full responsibility for the life of MP Natsheh, who suffers from a deteriorating health condition and serious health problems.
The occupation re-arrested the MP from his home in the city of al-Khalil on 27 March 2013, and held him in administrative detention since then.
