Syrian clerics highlighted the issue of Syria in their weekly Friday sermon warning against the US-Zionist strategy to invade the country.
Seyyed Jafar Fadhl Allah, Friday orator in Imamein (AS) Mosque in Beirut, stressed the issue of Syria is a way to carry out old plans for destabilizing and dominating the resources in the Middle East region, reported Taqrib News Agency (TNA).
He said,” This is the first time that the US is beating the war drums in Syria while it cannot wage war in the region.”
He expressed regret that some Arab and Muslim nations unite with the US even fund for a war or let it use their military bases to destroy another Muslim state.
He noted that the main issue for Muslims is the domineering policies of the west since they have had experiences of being independent and counted self sufficiency of the Islamic Republic of Iran and also Islamic Resistance in Palestine and Lebanon.
He said,” These two experiences hinder the western arrogant powers to dominate regional resources and guarantee the security for the Zionist regime.”
Allameh Sheikh Afif Nablosi, prayer leader of Saida Zahra (AS) Forum in Sidon warned against intensification of clashes in the region which might leave devastating outcomes for the whole world.
He added,” Opposition of the US for talks to solve the crisis in Syria is an approval for its pursuit of the old plans for complete destruction of Syria so that its arch ally, the Zionist regime, is credited as the regional power.”
He noted that war against Syria is challenging peace and security of the world, a war against human honor and rights of the people to determine their fate.
“What the US is pursuing is violation of political and religious laws.” Said Allameh Nablosi and urged the people to resist against warmongering powers of the world, including the US.
Sheikh Ahmad Kabalan, Jafari Shia prayer leader in Imam Hussein (AS) Mosque in Beirut, reiterated that Lebanon and the whole region are under great threat at present saying,” Beating the war drums in the region would lead to a huge explosion of fights in the Middle East and if the US- Arab- Zionist enemy invades Syria, then the fuel of such a war can never be easily contained.”
He warned that the Zionist-backed invasion of the US to Syria and some Arab states would lead to a long term war in the Middle East.
He also referred to the experiences of US invasion of Iraq under the pretext of finding weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) in the country and said,” Same way that US-led invasion of Iraq opened the way for terrorism and chaos to the country, if an attack happens in Syria, the country will have the same history.”
