Iran reiterates solidarity with Venezuela wishes for Chavez quick recovery

Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ramin Mehmanparast reiterated Iran-Venezuela solidarity on Monday referring to the present situation in that country.

Commenting on the present health situation of President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, the spokesman said Iran has always been respecting President Chavez.

Describing President Chavez as a “popular revolutionary leader in the Latin American region,” Mehmanparast wished for his quick recovery.

The spokesman also expressed hope for promotion of Iran-Venezuela relations based on the firm determination of the authorities of the two capitals.

President Chavez was operated in Cuba last month for his recurrence of cancer. He is currently under further medical treatment.
