Ex-Catalan leader Puigdemont freed with conditions in Belgium

Following a ruling by a court, in Brussels, on Sunday, former Catalonian President Carles Puigdemont and four other members of his government were released on precautionary measures.

As the decision was made, supporters of Puigdemont were seen outside the courthouse in Brussels, showing their solidarity with the ousted leader.

Earlier in the week, the Spanish government issued a European arrest warrant for Puigdemont and four other members of his the Catalan authorities: Antoni Comin, Clara Ponsati, Lluis Puig and Meritxell Serret.
