Exclusive: Syrian army operation in Yabroud

Al-Alam camera shows how Syrian army troops retake the control of the southwestern town of Yabroud and clearing the town of the foreign-backed militants.
Syrian soldiers could regain the strategic town, which is located in north of Damascus, within 48 hours. They have killed scores of the foreign-sponsored terrorists, defused mines and seized tunnels and caches of weapons.
The takeover of Yabroud will cut supply lines of the foreign-sponsored militants. Current advance is considered a major gain for the Syrian army, which has been engaged in a fierce battle against foreign-backed militants for over three years.
On March 12, Syrian troops took full control of farmland on the northern edge of Yabroud.
Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since 2011. Some sources say around 130,000 people have been killed and millions displaced due to the violence fueled by Western-backed militants.
