Fighting terrorism condition for dialog

6d25d2bf120df762804efeafa2d89bf4_LSyria says a main condition for any dialog on the ongoing crisis in the Arab country and political solution to the unrest there is fighting terrorism.

Syria’s Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi made the remarks on Thursday and also stressed that the way out of the crisis in Syria will be a Syrian one made by the Syrians themselves.
He further said that there is “a serious international political will to hold Geneva 2 conference” on the Syrian crisis.
Al-Zoubi said that Syria is going to Geneva to say that “we can make a national and political partnership and hold elections and make a constitution…but only under the umbrella of the Syrian state, its sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.”
The Geneva 2 conference will open in the Swiss city of Montreux on January 22. The conference is seen as a chance to find a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
The Syrian government has said it will participate in the conference, but that President Bashar al-Assad’s departure from office is not on the table.
Syria’s divided foreign-backed opposition, however, will vote on Friday on whether to attend the peace talks.
