FM to open Iran’s embassy in Slovenia

Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi departed here Monday for Ljubljana, Slovenia, to inaugurate Iran’s Embassy in that country.
n the first leg of his European tour, Salehi is due to hold meeting with his Slovenian counterpart Samuel Zbogar.

Mohammad-Rahim Aqaei is planned to be the first Iranian ambassador to Slovenia.

As his second visit, Iran’s foreign minister will travel to Vienna, Austria, at the invitation of his Austrian counterpart Michael Spindelegger.

Salehi is also scheduled to hold talks with Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Yukio Amano.

Speaking to reporters on Sunday, Salehi said that Iran is capable of being the major supplier of energy to European countries.
