FM: ‘Ultimate triumph’ belongs to Palestinians; Iran pledges unwavering support for Palestine ‘to the very end’
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has praised the Palestinians for their eleven-month-long resilience against the Israeli regime's genocidal conflict and atrocities, expressing his belief that the "ultimate victory" will be achieved by the Palestinian people.

The senior diplomat expressed these statements on Wednesday in a phone call with Khalil al-Hayya, the deputy chief of the Political Bureau for the Palestinian resistance organization Hamas.
“The present Iranian administration will persistently and vigorously follow the former administration’s policy of backing the oppressed Palestinian people,” Araghchi stated, emphasizing that the Islamic Republic would remain in solidarity with the Palestinians “until the very end.”
He also emphasized that Tehran would back any agreement leading to a ceasefire and the end of the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip, provided it receives the approval of the Palestinian people and resistance groups.
Al-Hayya expressed the Palestinian people’s gratitude for the unwavering support from the Islamic Republic toward the Palestinian cause and their resistance against Zionist crimes.
He referenced the endeavors of the late Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Iran’s former Foreign Minister, in advocating for the Palestinian resistance as a notable example.
The call occurred during the Israeli regime’s ongoing genocidal war on Gaza, which began in October as a reaction to a retaliatory operation by resistance groups in the coastal region.
The devastating military offensive has resulted in the deaths of at least 40,476 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and has injured an additional 93,647 people.
In July, Hamas consented to a ceasefire agreement that included the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the return of displaced individuals, the lifting of the siege imposed by Tel Aviv on Gaza, and the commencement of the territory’s reconstruction efforts.
The regime, however, dismissed the proposal and subsequently introduced “new conditions,” which included maintaining its forces within Gaza along the border with Egypt.
In the meantime, the Hamas representative extended his congratulations to Araghchi on his new role as Amir-Abdollahian’s successor, to which the senior Iranian diplomat expressed his thanks.
