Iranians Unite in Nationwide Demonstrations Backing Armed Forces Against Israeli Actions
Massive rallies took place in various cities throughout Iran on Friday, organized in the wake of congregational prayers. The demonstrations were staged to protest against perceived Israeli-American aggression towards Iran and to show support for the Iranian armed forces.
In Tehran, a significant demonstration unfolded as tens of thousands of individuals marched from the University of Tehran at Enghelab Square, making their way to the renowned Azadi Tower in the western part of the city.
Demonstrations of a similar nature occurred in various cities such as Mashhad, Isfahan, Tabriz, Qom, Shiraz, Qazvin, Yazd, and Gilan, where participants expressed steadfast support for the nation’s armed forces.
Protesters, undeterred by threats, held images of martyrs while passionately voicing opposition against the Zionist regime and its Western allies, with a notable focus on the United States.
Chants such as “Death to the Zionist regime,” “Death to American arrogance,” and “Long live the martyrs” echoed through the air, symbolizing a unified stance against perceived adversaries.
Individuals from diverse backgrounds and various age brackets have shown a strengthened resolve to challenge the Zionist regime and its imperialist allies.
A young protester in Tehran expressed a deep commitment to Iran and its revered elements, telling Press TV, “I am here for Iran, for the sacred soil of this land, for the martyrs, for the Leader. I pledge to stand by my country until my last breath and last drop of blood.”
Protesters nationwide have come together in solidarity, declaring unity against what they perceive as a shared adversary, as they believe a critical threshold has been breached. “We will avenge the sacred blood of our great martyrs,” stated one demonstrator.
Following last Friday’s unprovoked actions by Israel, which led to the loss of several key Iranian military figures, nuclear scientists, and civilians—including women and children—Iran launched its retaliatory measure, Operation True Promise III.
In the ongoing operation, now in its fifteenth phase, Iranian military forces, under the leadership of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), have reportedly achieved significant successes by targeting and devastating key Israeli military and intelligence installations located within the occupied Palestinian territories.
Military analysts have indicated that recent missile and drone attacks have highlighted vulnerabilities in Israel’s air defense mechanisms. These developments have compelled both officials and residents in the affected areas to evacuate their homes and take refuge in underground shelters.
On Friday, large demonstrations were organized in Iraq and Yemen to show solidarity with Iran in response to the Israeli regime’s actions, as participants voiced strong condemnation of the regime’s alleged war crimes.
