Syrian Army captures Al-Kalariyah in southern Aleppo

The Aleppo Governorate’s southern front has become the scene of the most intense firefights taking place in northern Syria, as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and their allies continue to advance along several axes that were once impregnable.
On Wednesday evening, the Syrian Arab Army’s 43rd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF), Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalions), and the Palestinian pro-government militia “Liwaa Al-Quds” (Jerusalem Brigade) – imposed full control over the village of Al-Kalariyah near the strategic town of Al-Rashiddeen after an intense battle with the Islamist rebels of Jabhat Al-Nusra (Syrian Al-Qaeda group), Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham, Harakat Nouriddeen Al-Zinki, and Liwaa Suqour Al-Sham.
Meanwhile, west of Khan Touman, the Islamist rebels of Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham and Jabhat Al-Nusra were able to recapture the town of Al-Hawsh after they launched a counter-attack against the pro-government forces on Wednesday afternoon.
Elsewhere, Hezbollah and Harakat Al-Nujaba carried out a powerful assault on the Turkish-led rebels’ defensive positions at the village of Al-Zorba – both sides suffered heavy casualties.
