Gaza industrial sector paralyzed due to israeli war, siege

Israel has completely eradicated the industrial system in the Gaza Strip, using its military weapons in the last three wars and the illegal siege on the Palestinian territory. Most of Gaza factories, workshops & warehouses were targeted by Israeli tanks & warplanes last summer, which has severely damaged the Palestinian economy.

Food & construction sectors are the most important parts of the Gaza economy, both in need of urgent reconstruction. Thousands of Palestinians used to work in the food production factories in Gaza. Moreover, the entire reconstruction process depends on the efficiency of construction factories & workshops, which have been paralyzed so far considering the prevailing political conditions.

The post-war economic situation has made living conditions hard for the majority of Gaza population, who are still suffering from Israel’s siege imposed over the coastal enclave since 2006.

Systematic Israeli policy of ruining the Palestinian economy keeps strangling every industry in Gaza, as most of the factories have been either bombed or shut down due to the Israeli siege.
