Conversely, Palestinian resistance groups persist in targeting Israeli forces attempting to make progress within the Gaza Strip.

The Zeitoun district in Gaza City experienced intense conflict, with resistance groups issuing consecutive statements claiming confirmed casualties among the opposing forces. Meanwhile, Israeli helicopters were observed evacuating their wounded.

Israeli news sources have described a ‘challenging event’ in Gaza, noting that Zionist media is reporting casualties among the occupying forces.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military branch of the Hamas resistance movement, reported that their fighters have been involved in intense skirmishes with occupying forces in the Zeitoun Neighborhood.

The group reported that resistance fighters targeted an Israeli Merkava tank with a Yassine-105 shell and a tandem-charge weapon, causing damage to the tank in the Tal Al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah, a city in southern Gaza.
