Ayat. Sistani’s envoy pays visit to Hamburg Islamic Center

Hojjatoleslam Seyed Javad Shahrestani was in Hamburg on November 1 and 2 to pay a visit to city’s Islamic Center and Imam Ali (as) Mosque at invitation by Ayatollah Reza Ramezani Guilani the Director of the Center and the prayer Imam of the Mosque.

Shahrestani’s two-day visit to the Center included talks with authorities about the timetable and agenda for different times of the year, publishing books, Islamic rituals, and interfaith dialogue with other religious leaders.

On Sunday, Shahrestani had a meeting with the teaching staff and seminary students of the center where Hojjatoleslam Hamidreza Torabi, the Head and Member of Board of Founders of Islamic Academy and Hamburg Seminary School provided Ayat. Sistani’s envoy with comments on the schools programs and curricula.

On Monday, Shahrestani attended the meeting of Board of Directors of Islamic-EU Union of Shia Scholars and Theologians. He believed that the Union provided great potentials to address and solve problems of Shia communities in the EU, along providing grounds for exchange of ideas among Shia clerics and scholars.
