Zionist forces deployed live ammunition and tear gas against Palestinians gathered outside Ofer Prison
Zionist forces have reportedly opened fire and deployed teargas canisters against families of Palestinian prisoners outside a prison in the occupied West Bank. These families were gathered in anticipation of their relatives' release, which was expected to take place as part of a ceasefire agreement.

An assault occurred outside Ofer Prison on the day that 90 inmates were slated for release under a newly brokered ceasefire agreement with the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas.
An agreement, initiated on Sunday, is anticipated to bring an end to the regime’s 15-month genocidal conflict in Gaza, which has resulted in the deaths of nearly 47,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children.
According to reports, Israeli forces have injured a minimum of seven Palestinians in the recent assault.
The latest prisoner exchange involving Palestinian detainees and individuals held by the regime has been conducted under heightened security protocols enforced by Israeli military and police forces. These measures are reportedly designed to avert the formation of public gatherings.
Before the scheduled release of prisoners, Israeli forces conducted raids on the homes of several female Palestinian detainees in the contested city of Jerusalem.
Occupation forces issued warnings to the families, cautioning them against celebrating or displaying Palestinian flags. They threatened that any such actions could lead to the cancellation of planned releases.
This development follows a statement made three days earlier by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, asserting that Tel Aviv claims the “right” to resume military operations in Gaza whenever deemed necessary.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu commented on the situation even after the government endorsed the agreement, prompting sharp warnings from Palestinian resistance groups against Tel Aviv’s renewal of aggressive military operations.
