Gaza’s Main Medical Facility Loses Power Amidst Genocide
The director of Gaza's Al-Shifa Medical Complex has cautioned that the intentional fuel blockade imposed by the Zionist regime is threatening to bring the hospital to a complete standstill.

Mohammed Abu Salmiya, the director of Gaza’s largest medical facility, Al-Shifa Hospital, has confirmed that the institution has exhausted its fuel reserves, leading to a total shutdown of its electricity supply.
He reported that essential government sectors are on the brink of collapse, as the occupying forces intensify their blockade and halt fuel supplies to healthcare institutions.
Abu Salmiya stated that the ongoing fuel crisis shows no signs of abating.
The hospital faces an imminent risk of ceasing operations at any given time.
He stated that Zionist forces permit only minimal fuel supplies, describing it as an inhumane strategy intended to perpetuate a constant crisis in the healthcare sector. He cautioned that if this blockade continues, the shutdown of all units will be unavoidable.
Abu Salmiya characterized the situation at the hospital as catastrophic, reporting a daily surge of over 50 fatalities and in excess of 100 injured individuals, overwhelming the already scarce beds and equipment in the intensive care units.
He highlighted that the personnel lack the necessary resources to effectively handle the surging crisis.
