‘West after spoiling popular revolts’

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has warned against Western countries’ schemes to delay the victory of revolutions taking place around the world.

Today, Western countries are seeking to obstruct the victory of the revolutions that are taking place in many countries, including Egypt, President Ahmadinejad told a meeting of Iranian commanders on Tuesday, the presidential website reported.

He said that Western countries were seeking to derail the revolutions since they knew that if the public movements emerged victorious, governments that oppose the US and the zionist israeli regime will rise to power.

He described the Egyptian nation as great, civilized and cultured, cautioning against persisting Western attempts to harm the Egyptian Revolution.

The Egyptian Revolution would influence the entire world if it bears fruit and a public government takes over, so Western governments are struggling to spoil the revolution by impeding free elections in the country, the president said.

He also praised popular movements in other countries and said all freedom-seeking nations have awakened in the pursuit of justice.

He also called on regional nations to remain vigilant and united to be able to protect their revolutions, warning that hegemonies were plotting to take control of the wave of awakenings in.
