Last night, the Islamist rebels released 28 Syrian Arab Army (SAA) soldiers and civilians that were kidnapped over the course of five years.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the 28 soldiers and civilians were released to the Syrian Army via the ‘Arbeen
humanitarian corridor.

A Syrian military source told Al-Masdar News that many of the freed soldiers that were imprisoned by the Islamist rebels had been captured by them between the years of 2013-2016.
