Great events looming in Saudi Arabia

A Saudi twitter fan nicknamed ‘Mujtahid,’ has prophesied ‘great crisis’ in the Arabian peninsula.

Mehr News reported that ‘Mujtahid,’ who has won much fame for his exposing of Saudi family behind-the-curtain events, predicted that Saudi Arabia would be the scene for great crises with impacts on the regional scope.

Observers say Mujtahid’s predictions are relevant in the light of recent developments in Saudi foreign and domestic policies and Saudi recent position on Syrian crisis, Lebanese developments, providing military support for Egypt, abandoning a non-permanent seat in UN Security Council and Saudi foreign ministry’s refusal to address the General Assembly.

All of these indicate that Saudis had gone far beyond rational borders in politics. They even were disturbed to see progress in Iran-Powers nuclear talks, and along with Israel, took the same position, such that Israeli officials admitted Saudi coordination with themselves.

Saudi regime faces the lack of legitimacy and pressure at home for repression of popular movements aimed at demanding fundamental rights. Saudi government bloodily suppresses any objection and criticism of ruling family of Saud and majority of people are dissatisfied with the scope of injustice and shabby living conditions. They have voiced their dissatisfaction in some occasions.

Saudi regime does not recognize women’s rights; wages are quite low; housing is a major hurdle in daily life of the people, still gone unnoticed by the Saudi officials. The public only suffers and the ruling family plunders money coming from oil and gas exports, despite the fact that Saudi Arabia is the greatest oil exporter.

A new crisis has surfaced in Saudi Arabia and it is maltreatment of foreign workers. Recent deaths of 3 foreign workers and violence against Ethiopian workers have triggered massive protests by foreign workers in Saudi Arabia.
