“Growing violence, extremism common threat to all”

Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif twitted a message on Wednesday evening to emphasize the need of establishing peace in the world.

The message, which came on the occasion of Nowruz, refers to President Rouhani’s proposal of World Against Violence and Extremism (WAVE) approved by UN General Assembly on December 2013.

“Let’s celebrate spring’s renewal by renewing hope for children in Syria and Yemen. Let’s all join the WAVE: World Against Violence and Extremism, “Zarif said on his twitter calling on all nations and particularly his counterparts to stand against violence and work together to establish peace; “Iran was the first to rise to rise to the challenge and proposed to make confronting this threat a global priority, when it launched WAVE, World Against Violence and Extremism; The menace we are facing, and I say we because no one is spared, is embodied by the hooded man who are ravaging the cradle of civilization; to deal with this challenge new approaches are badly needed; Iran had long been at the forefront of fight against extremism; I hope my counterparts will also turn their focus and devote their resources to this existential battle.”

In a brief message on his twitter account, Zarif also posted a congratulatory message to give good wishes to all Iranians across the globe on the occasion of Nowruz.
