Syrian Troops Target Rebels’ Dens, Gatherings in Aleppo

The Syrian Army, in a series of successful military operations, attacked dens and gatherings of militants in Aleppo’s neighborhoods and outskirts, killing and wounding a large number of antigovernment fighters, a military source said.
Syrian soldiers raided militants in Der Hafer and the surrounding of Minnigh airport, confiscating large quantity of their weapons, the army forces killed and wounded scores of rebels in the battle fields, the source told the Syrian Arab News Agency.

The source added that a unit of the army targeted insurgents in Khan al-Assal in Aleppo countryside and destroyed their weapons and ammunition.

The army units also carried out several mop-up operations in Kafar Hamra, al-Mansoura and the surrounding of Aleppo central prison and al-Kindi Hospital, resulting in killing and wounding of anti-Syria fighters.

The source pointed out that the army confronted rebels’ attempts to infiltrate into some secure areas in Aleppo countryside.

Meantime, a unit of the Syrian army clashed with an armed group which tried to infiltrate into Kweiris area, killing so many rebels there.
