The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military faction of Hamas, maintained a steadfast defense referred to as the “Gates of Hell” against Israeli forces in Gaza. On Saturday, the Israeli military confirmed that at least nine of its soldiers sustained injuries in the Shujaiya area.

The military has reported that nine IDF soldiers, among them two senior officers, sustained “light” injuries from an explosive device in Shejaiya, a neighborhood in Gaza City, overnight. The announcement was made on Saturday, noting that the military often minimizes casualty reports.

According to a report by The Times of Israel, troops from the Jerusalem Brigade were conducting operations in Shejaiya when an explosion occurred, as confirmed by a statement from the Israeli military.

The reports confirmed that the commander of the Jerusalem Brigade’s 6310th Battalion and the deputy commander of the 252nd Division are among those injured.

Reports indicate an intense and fiery inferno, often referred to as the “Gates of Hell,” drawing eminent attention and curiosity. The phenomenon, known for its perpetual flames, continues to captivate onlookers and scientists alike, raising questions about its origins and sustainability.

On Friday, the Al-Qassam Brigades unveiled footage showcasing a sophisticated ambush against Israeli forces in Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. This action is part of their ongoing “Gates of Hell” operations.

The incident referred to as “Ambush number 2” transpired on May 7, when Hamas operatives launched an assault on Israeli forces using anti-armor shells. The attack culminated in the Israeli troops being drawn into a strategically prepared area where explosive devices were set off.

The operation led to casualties within the ranks of the Israeli occupation forces, as Al-Qassam fighters strategically withdrew into tunnels. Aerial footage coupled with commentary from a field commander provides additional insight into the developments.

Earlier on Thursday, Al-Qassam reported that its militants were involved in intense close-quarters combat with Israeli troops in Rafah, resulting in significant casualties for the occupation forces.
