Ayatollah Sistani condemns terrorist attack on Shia Muslims in Saudi Arabia

Ground Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani in a statement on Monday condemned terrorist attacks on Friday to a mosque at Qatif region in Saudi Arabia claiming lives of many innocent civilians and injured scores of others.

Martyrdom of a group of Shia Muslim prayers at Qatif mosque was very painful, said Ayatollah Sistani in the statement.

Ayatollah Sistani expressed condolences to the bereaved families and said that the tragedy injured sentiments of the world Muslims.

A suicide-bomber exploded his belt on Friday among Friday prayers at Qatif mosque claiming lives of 21 Shia Muslims and injuring some 121 others.
