images_News_2013_04_26_r-c-syria01_300_0Hamas condemned the continued clashes in the Palestinian refugee camp of Handarat north of Aleppo and the continued shelling and siege of many other Palestinian camps.

The movement confirmed in a press release on Thursday that these armed clashes in Handarat camp resulted in many deaths and injuries among the Palestinian refugees, and increased the human suffering in light of food shortages and a lack of medicine in addition to power outages.

In light of the bloody events, we renew our call to spare the Palestinian refugees and their camps in Syria, the movements’ statement said, stressing that the Palestinian refugee camps in Syria are not part of the Syrian crisis.

May Allah bless the souls of the Palestinian and Syrian martyrs and grant the wounded speedy recovery, the statement added, wishing stability to the Syrian people.

The Palestinian Handarat refugee camp is witnessing a humanitarian disaster under the continued siege for many weeks, and the daily shelling and clashes.
