Hamas Claims Israeli Efforts Fail to Dampen Gaza’s Resilience

Hamas has claimed that zionist efforts to break the resistance in Gaza have been unsuccessful, stating that the notion of Palestinian defeat has been dispelled by their enduring resolve.

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced on Tuesday that after 640 days of the intense conflict, the Israeli forces have not succeeded in their efforts to undermine Gaza’s morale or suppress its armed resistance.

The movement issued a statement asserting that ambitions of “total defeat” and “complete eradication” have faltered as Resistance tunnels and ambushes persistently challenge the occupation’s military progress.

Hamas has declared that the belief in liberating captives through force has been dispelled by the Resistance’s continued offensives and dominance on the battlefield. They highlighted the destruction of Gideon military vehicles with their crews inside and noted that Resistance fighters persist in challenging the occupation forces, despite the siege and starvation tactics employed by the Israeli occupation.

The organization stated that “the occupying force now openly acknowledges its inability to both free its captives and overcome the resistance, as all its invasion paths have transformed into zones of fatality.”

Hamas has issued a statement regarding Israel’s plans for forced expulsion and ethnic cleansing, asserting that these actions have been hindered by the resilience of the Palestinian population and their steadfast rejection of political or intelligence impositions.

In its concluding remarks, Hamas labeled the occupation’s military, political, and moral shortcomings as a direct challenge to its propaganda efforts. The organization reiterated that the conflict with the occupation continues to be a battle of awareness, resolve, and endurance.

Efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza faced another hurdle on Monday. Indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas concluded their morning session in Doha without achieving any progress, as reported by a Palestinian official to AFP. Further discussions are scheduled to continue in the evening.

The diplomatic talks, facilitated by Qatar and Egypt with support from the United States, are focused on bringing a conclusion to the 21-month conflict between Israel and Gaza. Despite heightened urgency prior to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Washington, advancements have been gradual.

According to a Palestinian official who requested anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the discussions, no breakthrough was achieved during the morning negotiation session. However, the talks are set to continue, with Hamas expressing hope for reaching an agreement.

Palestinian sources referenced by Reuters indicate that the primary hindrance to advancing discussions in Doha is “Israel’s” persistent denial of unimpeded and secure humanitarian aid access to Gaza. This issue has emerged as a key point of contention, alongside disputes concerning the establishment of a lasting ceasefire and the release of prisoners.
