In a statement issued late Tuesday, Hamas announced the resolution of an agreement that facilitates the simultaneous release of 620 Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, alongside the repatriation of the bodies of Israelis who perished in Israeli strikes amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

A delegation from Hamas, headed by senior leader Khalil al-Hayya, wrapped up a visit to Cairo on Tuesday. During their stay in the Egyptian capital, they engaged in discussions with Egyptian officials concerning a ceasefire and a potential prisoner exchange deal. The talks also focused on preparations for the next stage of negotiations.

During discussions held in Cairo, the Hamas delegation underscored the necessity for the Israeli government to adhere strictly and comprehensively to all aspects of the agreement.
