Hamas Denounces ‘israel’s’ Gaza Aid Proposal as Continuation of ‘Starvation Policy’

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has turned down an Israeli proposal aimed at bypassing international aid organizations to directly distribute supplies within Gaza’s “militarized zones.”

Hamas declared on Monday that humanitarian aid for Gaza should be overseen by accredited international organizations or local authorities, stressing it should not be used as “a tool of political blackmail.”

The Palestinian organization has denounced the proposed Israeli plan, labeling it as a violation of international law and describing it as “an extension of the policy of starvation and distraction.” They have accused Israel of utilizing this mechanism as a means to delay while continuing to “commit acts of genocide.”

Hamas has urged the global community to remain vigilant against “misleading occupation narratives” and to advocate for the immediate lifting of the blockade. The group emphasized the importance of allowing food and medical aid to reach Gaza, under the oversight of the United Nations, free from any military or political intervention.

The United Nations, along with humanitarian organizations, has consistently condemned Israel’s controversial plan, cautioning that it involves the allocation of restricted resources within “militarized zones.”

The proposal comes in the wake of Israel’s nine-week blockade on food shipments to Gaza.
