Hamas Leader Praises Iran and Hezbollah for Assisting Resistance During Israeli Attack on Gaza

The leader of the political wing of Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement, has expressed gratitude for the support of Iran during the fierce bombardment of the besieged Gaza Strip by Israel.

On Sunday, Ismail Haniyeh expressed his gratitude to the Palestinian Resistance Factions’ Joint Operations Room for successfully maintaining control in Gaza, thereby foiling the plans of the Israeli regime, according to Lebanon’s Arabic-language al-Mayadeen television news network.

He stated that the “Revenge of the Free” operation was carried out by the resistance fighters, coordinated through the Joint Operations Room, showcasing their strength and determination.

He stated that the determination of the resistance fighters thwarted the adversary’s endeavor to enforce new equations, both by targeting the al-Quds Brigades, which is the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance organization, and by attempting to create a rift between the different resistance factions.

He asserted that the unification of resistance factions was a pivotal element in impeding the adversary’s strategies, safeguarding the Palestinian population, executing pertinent field plans, and striking the occupied territories with retaliatory rocket assaults.

The Hamas official lamented the passing of the righteous martyrs, stating that their sacrifice was not in vain and that the resistance will carry on.

Haniyeh expressed gratitude for the assistance provided by Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, both of which have supported the Palestinian resistance.

He expressed his appreciation to Egypt, Qatar, and the United Nations for their work in negotiating a ceasefire.

Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad resistance movement, expressed his sincere appreciation to those who supported them, with special mention of Iran, Hezbollah, Egypt and Qatar, during the recent Israeli attack on Gaza.

He expressed his gratitude to all members of Palestinian society who stood in solidarity with those in the besieged Gaza Strip, highlighting that despite their own hardship, they remained steadfast in their support for Palestinians.

Since May 9, the Israeli government has relentlessly carried out airstrikes in Gaza, leading to the deaths of numerous resistance commanders.

In retaliation, factions of Palestinian resistance have fired missiles towards Israeli cities and settlements.

On Saturday, Palestinian resistance groups announced that a ceasefire agreement had been reached with Israel to bring an end to the five-day-long aggression against the coastal strip by the Israeli regime.

According to Gaza’s health ministry, at least 33 Palestinians, with 13 of them being civilians, were killed and 147 wounded in the latest round of Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip.

The 2021 10-day war between Gaza’s resistance factions and the Israeli regime was the most severe episode of fighting since the current conflict began.
