Hamas: Obama’s speech is a setback

Gaza- Dr. Ismail Radwan, a leader of Hamas in Gaza, criticised statements made by the US president Barak Obama in which he renewed Washington’s commitment to the security of the Zionist entity calling on those Arabs and Palestinians counting on the US to reconsider their position.

In a statement he made to the Palestinian Information Center (PIC), Radwan said : “Obama’s speech was a setback to those who wager on American policy and political stands and we reject such statements that only reflect a full bias to occupation at the expense of the [inalienable] rights of the Palestinian people.

“We consider Obama’s administration to flagrantly and perversely stand to support Zionist security [while] it squanders Palestinian rights as it has become clear that the US is not talking about the 67 borders or about a Palestinian state, but is engaged in a game of deception.”

He called on Arab states to support the Palestinian people and to reconsider the Arab peace initiative as no peace can be achieved while the US is totally biased and no peace can be achieved while land is being thieved.
