Hamas official says ‘israel’ of attempting to ‘exterminate’ Palestinians in northern Gaza
A senior figure from the Palestinian resistance group Hamas has denounced Israel's continuous assaults on the northern Gaza Strip, accusing the occupying forces of seeking to "exterminate and displace" the Palestinian population.

Osama Hamdan, serving as the Hamas representative in Lebanon and a member of the organization’s political bureau, delivered his remarks on Tuesday.
Israeli military operations in northern Gaza have intensified, effectively blocking the entry of trucks carrying humanitarian aid into the embattled region.
In a statement, Hamdan accused the Israeli authorities of engaging in “organized crimes” against civilians in northern Gaza. He further alleged that Israeli forces are deliberately obstructing the delivery of humanitarian aid to the besieged region as a means of exerting pressure on the Palestinian population.
He highlighted that Israel’s refusal to permit the entry of humanitarian aid into northern Gaza has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of sick and injured individuals. He emphasized that the crossings, purported by Israeli authorities to be secure, have instead become perilous zones, putting civilians at risk.
A Hamas representative has accused Israel of conducting actions with the explicit backing of the United States, claiming that Washington’s one-month deadline for Israeli authorities to potentially permit aid access effectively grants Israel a timeframe to perpetrate further offenses.
Hamdan has criticized the international community for remaining silent on alleged Israeli violations. He emphasized that the credibility of global institutions is being scrutinized in light of the fundamental principles upon which they were established.
He further urged the convening of a United Nations Security Council session to exert pressure on Israel to halt its current military actions, stressing that the determination of post-conflict arrangements should be solely in the hands of the Palestinian people.
Since October 2023, actions taken by US-backed Israeli forces in the heavily restricted Gaza Strip have resulted in the deaths of over 42,700 Palestinians and have left nearly 100,000 individuals injured.
Earlier this year, the International Court of Justice mandated that Israel implement all necessary actions to prevent genocide in Gaza. Despite these directives, international attempts to halt the conflict, which is said to be supported by the United States, have so far proven unsuccessful.
