Hamas signals willingness to demonstrate flexibility in pursuit of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza
The Palestinian group Hamas has expressed its willingness to adopt a flexible stance to facilitate the achievement of a ceasefire in the Gaza region.

Samaa News Agency reports that Bassem Naim, a key figure within Hamas’ political bureau, expressed optimism that an agreement to conclude the 14-month-long conflict could soon be achieved.
He expressed confidence that the forthcoming US administration, under the leadership of Donald Trump, could positively influence regional dynamics, citing Trump’s campaign pledge to halt conflicts in the area.
Naim reaffirmed Hamas’ steadfast commitment to its core demands from past negotiation efforts, which encompass the enforcement of a lasting ceasefire, the full retraction of Israeli military presence from the Gaza Strip, and the recognition of the right for Palestinian refugees to return to their original residences.
He was quick to emphasize that the Palestinian resistance movement is willing to demonstrate flexibility in carrying out the agreements. This includes establishing a timeline for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from key areas of the Gaza Strip.
On October 7th of last year, Israel initiated a significant military operation in Gaza following a retaliatory action by Palestinian resistance groups, including Hamas, against what they described as the occupying forces.
The ongoing conflict has resulted in the deaths of at least 44,612 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, while more than 105,834 individuals have sustained injuries, according to recent reports.
