Haneyya: Reversing Trump’s decision needs strong unity

Ismail Haneyya, Head of Hamas’s Political Bureau, said that thwarting the US President Donald Trump’s decision of recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel requires strong unity. He called for drawing a national strategy that would lead to the liberation and freedom of the Palestinian people.

In a speech addressed to Palestinians in Nablus city during the celebration of Hamas’s 30th founding anniversary, Haneyya affirmed that his Movement will stay steadfast before the Israeli violations taking place in the West Bank. Hamas is capable of going along its path towards liberation no matter what sacrifice it has to make, he said.

The Hamas leader renewed his Movement’s adherence to the Palestinian constants especially the issue of Occupied Jerusalem. He stressed Hamas’s keenness on defending Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque until liberation.
