Hanini: Assassinating resistance fighters will not deter the Palestinian resistance

Abdulhakim Hanini, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas, praised the martyrs of the Al-Qassam Brigades who were martyred in a heroic confrontation with the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Deir al-Ghusun in Tulkarem.

Hanini congratulated the families of the martyrs for this divine selection and distinction, for these heroic leaders who have continued the path of martyrs, the path of defending their land, their sanctities, their honor, and their dignity.

Hanini stated in a press statement, “We say to this criminal enemy that no matter how many heroes of our people you kill or assassinate, thousands of heroes who bear arms will emerge from the people, continue the path of resistance, and sweep and expel the occupation.”

The Hamas official clarified that the Palestinian people are not weakened by the fall of martyrs, the wounded, or the captives. The Palestinian people know the path of liberation and know the path of resistance and confrontation to liberate their sanctities.

Hanini emphasized that the occupation deludes itself if it thinks that by assassinating this group of fighters, it will break the backbone of resistance. These sacrifices will only strengthen and empower the resistance, and thousands will come forward to complete the journey.

Five martyrs, including four from the Al-Qassam Brigades, were martyred on Saturday during heroic clashes between the resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces in the town of Deir al-Ghusun, Tulkarem, in the northern West Bank.

The Ministry of Health announced the martyrdom of four resistance fighters during the Israeli occupation’s aggression on the town of Deir al-Ghusun, while a fifth martyr, whose identity is not yet known, was taken to the government hospital in Tulkarem.

The Israeli occupation army announced the serious injury of one of its soldiers from the elite Yamam forces during the fierce clashes.

Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed that its fighters, along with the resistance factions, confronted the Israeli occupation forces’ invasion of the town of Deir al-Ghusun and engaged in fierce clashes, targeting the occupation soldiers with intensive gunfire.

More than 50 military vehicles surrounded the town of Deir al-Ghusun and imposed a curfew on the residents. They also besieged a house where several resistance fighters were present. The owner of the house, Sulaima Badran, is the brother of the martyr Fawwaz Badran, the commander of the Al-Qassam Brigades during the Al-Aqsa Intifada.

The national and Islamic forces in Tulkarem announced a state of mourning for the martyrs and a general strike today Sunday.
