Sheikh Qaouk: Arab Leaders Should Take Action to Halt Suppression, Killings in Bahrain

Deputy Head of Hizbullah Executive Council His Eminence, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, called upon the Arab leaders taking part in the upcoming Arab Summit in Baghdad, to adopt a clear stance to put an end to the suppression and killings in Bahraini.
On this level, His Eminence wondered why not send observers to Bahrain’s Manama like those sent to Syria.

Moreover, Sheikh Qaouk stressed that the Arab states calling for troops to be sent to protect armed [groups] in Syria, should call for sending troops to “halt the suppression, killing and intimidation of the whole Bahraini nation”.
Sheikh Qaouk confirmed that “Hizbullah supports the popular majority in Syria, Bahrain, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Yemen”, further believing that those who support the minority in Syria are those “standing against the will of the majority of the Bahraini people”.
“In Lebanon, there are [political] forces that have embroiled in the aggression against Syria, and sadly there is an environment that embraces the Syrian armed [groups] in Lebanon”, His Eminence iterated.
“The people cannot be fooled that arms smuggling from Lebanon to Syria is for sales motives. This is a ridiculous joke”, Deputy Head of Hizbullah Executive Council added.
Furthermore, His Eminence noted that some judges in Lebanon, when tackling the issue of arms smuggling into Syria, document this smuggling as if it were for the sake of trading and sales.

“There is a complete aggression-embracing environment against Syria and Lebanon. The hand that once stabbed the resistance in its back, is today stabbing Syria in its back”, Sheikh Qaouk affirmed.
Also on Syria, Sheikh Qaouk asserted that the “approach in Syria has entered a new stage”, adding that “the bets have failed, and so have attempts to chance the regime”.

“Today, there are negotiations to start a political solution, and what is delaying it is the Arab pressure to arm and protect the armed [groups] in Syria. Meanwhile, the European and Western countries have tactically retreated, and started its negotiations to commence a peaceful solution”, His Eminence further noted.
“The equation changed, and its repercussions will represent an additional failure for the US and the US-backed Arabs in the region”, Sheikh Qaouk concluded.
