Iranian Complex Exports 90,000 tons of Propane in 1 Month

Iran’s Pars Petrochemical Complex exported 90,000 tons of propane in the last Iranian month (June 22 to July 22), the company announced on Tuesday.
“Based on figures, 191,000 tons of the company’s products were exported to foreign countries in the last month,” Managing-Director of the Complex Ali Asqar Zarafshan told reporters in Assalouyeh.

He reiterated that exports of Pars Petrochemical Complex in the last month included 90,000 tons of propane, 47,000 tons of butane and 54,000 tons of styrene monomer.

Iran’s Pars Petrochemical Complex announced in April that it had exported 1.27mln tons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2010 to March 20, 2011).

The exported LNG constituted 9.8% of the National Iranian Petrochemical Company’s total exports last year.

Based on the report, due to the inauguration and launch of new propane and butane reservoirs and use of new driers and compressors which helped the company reach a 100-percent operational capacity, the PPC’s LNG exports doubled compared with its previous year (March 21,2009 to March 20,2010).

The company also announced that it has produced nearly 3mln tons of LNG and styrene monomer (vinyl benzene) in the last Iranian year.
